Who can join ALMPG?
Membership at ALMPG is open to all irrespective of race, ethnicity, religion or gender.
Should I join if I'm currently in grad school?
Yes, we would encourage you to join while you are in grad school. This way you will get an opportunity to network with other professionals, learn from their experience, attend free webinars and get an idea of the jobs available in the market.
I don't see my career field while signing up?
If you don't see your career field while signing up, then please let us know at [email protected].
Is there a mobile app for ALMPG?
Yes, our Android App can be downloaded from the Google Playstore
We are currently working on our IOS App, and it will be released early next year, 2018.
For Members
I forgot my password. What should I do?
To reset your password -
- Go to Forgot Password and enter your account information
- You will get an email for confirmation, follow the instructions
- You will be given a temporary password and use this password to log in
How can I reset my password to a desired one?
To update your password -
- Go to My Account under the Account & Settings menu
- Scroll to Username & Password
- Type and retype your new desired password
- Click update
How can I update my login information?
To update your login information -
- Go to My Account under the Account & Settings menu
- Scroll to Username & Password
- Enter your email address
- Click update
How can I update my email preferences?
To update your email preferences -
- Go to My Preferences under the Account & Settings menu
- Select your desired categories and sub categories
- Click update preferences
Why do I receive emails?
By default, you will receive notifications on all the new posts unless you make your subscription choice in the My Preferences settings under the Account & Settings menu available on the top right corner of the website.
Why am I not receiving emails for every reply on the post?
By default, you get notified only of new posts. To receive notification for the discussions on a given post, you will either have to
- Reply to the post or
- Follow the post
What happens when I select 'Follow' ona post?
If you have selected 'Follow' on a given post, then you will receive notification for all the discussions on that respective post.
Can others see my profile?
Yes, the profiles are available for all the members to view. We highly recommend you update your profile with accurate information so that interested parties/employers/recruiters could reach out to you directly.
How can I view the discussions?
Once you log in, all the posted discussions are under the Members Forum tab
How can I view the posted jobs?
Once you log in, all the posted jobs are under the Jobs tab
How can I view the posted accommodation requests?
Once you log in, all the posted accommodations are under the Accommodation tab
How can I post my question?
Once you log in, select 'Send a Post' under the Members Forum tab, fill in the mandatory fields and click on Publish Your Post.
How can I post a job?
Once you log in, select 'Post Jobs' under the Jobs tab, fill in the mandatory fields and click on Publish Your Job.
How can I post my accommodation request?
Once you log in, select 'Post Accommodation' under the Accommodation tab, fill in the mandatory fields and click on Publish Your Accommodation.
For Business Users
Is there any fee to sign up as a Business User?
No, there is no fee to sign up as a Business User. If you are a recruiter, employer or a firm, we highly encourage you to sign up as Business User.
As I Business user, will I be able to post jobs for different professions?
Yes, as a Business user you will be able to post jobs for the available professions at ALMPG.
