Introduction

Amazon Web Services (AWS) remain the most dominant cloud platform. It has grown significantly in the recent years and is likely to continue its stellar growth in the coming years. This paradigm shift from on-premise to cloud technologies presents a unique opportunity for IT. While most IT professionals understand the importance of AWS platform, they don't know where to begin their journey specifically if their day-to-day work does not involve AWS or any other cloud technology. This workshop provides that unique opportunity to learn the basics of this platform, get your feet wet by deploying a simple application on AWS, and get guidance on further self-learning and possible AWS certifications.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS
          - You should have an IT background.
          - No prior AWS experience necessary.
          - If you chose to follow the hands-on walkthrough, you would need
                    - An AWS Account (you can use the free tier for this workshop)
                    - A Windows Laptop

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

He has 15+ years of experience in IT ranging from software development to enterprise/solutions architecture and large-scale program management. Currently, he is the director of architecture and project delivery at McGraw-Hill Education. Previously, he worked at Amazon.com, Qwest, and a local software start-up. In addition to TOGAF, he holds two certifications on AWS platform (Associate Solutions Architect and Associate Developer).
